Our most beautiful interior
Mon, 06/15/2020 - 14:52
The Night of Museums 2020 provides an excellent opportunity to walk around in our Reading Hall. The murals of the Reading Hall were made in 1875–76 by Károly Lotz (1833–1904), the best-known Hungarian painter of the second half of the 19th century. The female figures symbolize different sciences and arts. There is a double glass roof over the reading room to let natural light in. Find more interesting information about the facade and the dome on our website!
Our facade from a bird's eye view
Mon, 06/15/2020 - 14:24
At the top of the facade of the University Library’s building at 6 Ferenciek tere, which is a monument, there are two angels holding the coat of arms of the University of Pest, under which the inscription “the library of the Hungarian University” can be read. At the top of the dome there is a flaming cauldron, symbolizing the never-extinguishing flame of science. You can read interesting information also about our Reading Hall on the website.

Tisztelt Könyvtár Szolgálat! A SciFinder adatbázis elérésével kapcsolatban érdeklődöm. Egyetemi hálózatról próbáltam belépni, a bejelentkezéshez caesar azonosítót és jelszót megadva, de nem működött. Hogy tudnám a legegyszerűbben elérni az adatbázist?

Köszönjük az üzenetet! Kollégáink igyekszenek minél hamarabb elhárítani a problémát, 1-2 nap türelmet kérünk.
