The Library will be closed between the 23rd of December 2024 and the 1st of January 2025. Our library's services will be available from the 2nd of January 2025.
Due to the relocation of our external warehouse the books and doctoral dissertations stored there, as well as the entire stock of the library's periodicals, will be unavailable until the beginning of January 2025. Many of our books are still available for loan and current literature can be found on the open shelves.
About the application
The ELTE Library WebApp, developed by the University Library and Archives, is a mobile web application for mobile devices and it is also available for faculty libraries.
The application replaces the paper-based library card and also offers a number of additional features.
Used as a virtual library card:
- It provides passage through access gates when you visit libraries in person.
- It notifies you of the availability of documents requested from the stacks.
- It allows you to borrow without having to hand over the device to the librarian.
- You can track your borrowings.
- It sets a notification about the upcoming expiration date of the loan.
- You can extend your borrowings.
- You can also access online your print & copy cards purchased in the University Library and Archives.
The mobile web application is available at konyvtar.elte.hu/app.
The application also provides ELTE citizens with online enrollment and membership renewal.
The application replaces the paper-based library card, you can loan without having to hand over the device to the librarian.
When our staff asks you, please place the QR code of your virtual library card in front of the scanner.
The interface is primarily optimized for mobile devices, but it can also be used in a desktop environment.
