Established in 1969, the publisher's mission is to cultivate the culture of national minorities living in Romania; thus, a significant part of its portfolio consists of academic and literary translations from Romanian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Russian, and Turkish authors. In addition to publishing Transylvanian Hungarian writers and poets, the publisher has also become a primary mediator of academic life. The continuously expanding database currently contains over 2,100 volumes.
