ELTE has been granted a two-months trial access to the Late Qing Dynasty Full-text Database (1833–1911) and the Chinese Periodical Full-text Database (1911–1949) databases on Shanghai Libray's CNBKSY (Quan Guo Bao Kan Suo Yin) platform.

IOP Publishing offers trial access to members of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) for journals available on the IOPScience platform. The content of the database is freely accessible without restrictions until the 15th of April 2024, while connected to the ELTE internet network either directly or through VPN.

In 2024, ELTE will subscribe to the following databases within the framework of the Electronic Information Service National Program (EISZ).

ELTE has been granted a 3-month trial access to the Books of Modern China (1840–1949) database on Shanghai Library's CNBKSY (Quan Guo Bao Kan Suo Yin) platform. The database contains over 120,000 books, which can be searched in full text.

At the fourth quarterly report of the K21 Quality Coordination Committee 2023, the leaders of the working groups reported on the results of the past quarter, ongoing work and changes.

On October 16, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences published the document entitled „Proposals for the Handling of Articles for Journals that Engage in Objectionable Practices” containing numerous recommendations. In the case of articles published in 2024, the MTMT will use the the journal classification of the Norwegian Register. For publications and journals published in Hungarian and in Hungarian journals, the Committee of MTA did not support the use of the Norwegian list. The application effectively supports scholarly research by making search results of the library's EBSCO subscriptions quickly available anytime, anywhere through an easy-to-use interface. Users can read or listen the content they're looking for. They can view it in PDF- and HTML-formats, and they can download and read EBSCO eBooks wherever they are.

EBSCO has offered trial access to the SocINDEX with Full Text database, that is available on the EBSCOhost platform until the 31st of December 2023. SocINDEX is the authoritative bibliographic database for sociology research. The database offers indexed records from top sociology journals covering many related studies.

The database includes bibliographical data for 1,500,000 dissertations and theses, all of which are accessible in full text. The database and EBSCOhost, when connected to the ELTE internet network directly or through the use of VPN services, are accessible both on and off-campus.

EBSCO's Customer Training Specialist, Tibor Foltinsky conducts an online training for librarians, who can thus provide effective assistance to researchers and library visitors in the search for scientific information and can also hold training sessions for interested users.

In agreement with the partner publishers, Arcanum Adatbázis Kiadó Kft. has offered free trial access to the databases available on the SZAKTÁRS platform until December 31, 2023.

EBSCO has offered trial access to the MLA International Bibliography with Full Text database, which offers an extensive collection of full-text journals in addition to bibliographic data. The test period lasts until 31 December 2023.

The CHARM-EU Open Science Day program will be held for the second time on October 26, 2023, which is a continuation of the first session. The event is free, but prior registration is required.

The network of libraries maintained by Eötvös Loránd University, the University Library Service (eltekonyvtarak.elte.hu/en), with more than 4.3 million documents, wishes you a successful autumn semester.

Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL) offered trial access to EISZ member institutions. The database can be tested by connected to the university's internet network until 17. 09. 2023. Remote access to the database is possible using a VPN service.

Free trial access to the databases of CNKI was opened until the end of September. CNKI is the most complete scientific platform in China. In addition to Chinese sources, it also covers international scientific content.
