For the first time, ELTE journals received the title „MTMT Qualified Journal”. Three online academic journals „Lejana”, „RussianStudies.hu” and „Journal of East Asian Cultures” have been certified. The recognition is considered outstanding both within the university and nationally.

As of January 1st 2023, the L'Harmattan Digital Database will be available under a new name and at a new location that is the L'Harmattan Open Access és Archive platform.

The training of secondary school teachers began at our university in the second half of the 19th century. The records of the examinations of teachers were preserved in the period between 1864 and 1949. In our database there are currently 9236 names.

The ELTE IT Directorate discontinued the Stunnel service with effect of November 8, 2022. Instead, the VPN service can be used by both ELTE employees and students. Anyone who does not already have one, must apply for VPN service.

Trial access the nkoda database and music service is available for 30 days, which ends on December 13, 2022.

The World Who's Who online database published by Taylor and Francis is available as part of a thirty-day trial. Trial access lasts until November 30, 2022.

The University Library and Archives has requested trial access to the database Das Diensttagebuch von Wolfram Sievers und das SS-Ahnenerbe (1941–45) (SAEO) published by De Gruyter. The database is a primary source for researching Nazi Germany, and can be subscribed to it from November 2022. Trial access runs until December 6, 2022.

ELTE was granted access to Gale's collection of three primary sources for thirty days. The collections contain searchable digital versions of American newspapers. The database can be accessed in the ELTE IP range or by using a VPN service.

Gale Research Complete database is going to be accessible due to the trial access. The database includes peer-reviewed journal articles, e-books, primary sources, daily and weekly newspapers.

The ProQuest One Academic database can be tested due to the one-month trial acces. The database contains scientific journals, e-books, dissertations, daily and weekly newspapers, videos and many other documents.

The international project NI4OS-Europe (National Initiatives for Open Science in Europe) is organising a conference between the 28th and 29 th of September 2022 in Budapest. The event is free, but registration is required. Location: BME K building.

The Web of Science Open House Sessions are a series of webinars in which the Web of Science Editorial Team provides an inside view of the journal evaluation process and selection criteria.

EISZ and Taylor & Francis will host an online webinar for researchers working in the field of social sciences and humanities on June 13th. The aim of the 60-minute lecture is to demonstrate the benefits of open research and publishing in the field of humanities and social sciences.

The Library of the ELTE Faculty of Humanities is organizing a series of lectures in Hungarian this spring as well. The lectures are primarily recommended for lecturers, researchers and doctoral students, but, as a matter of fact, all lectures are open to anyone interested. The presentations will take place online via Microsoft Teams. Participation in the lectures is free, but registration is required.

MTMT training sessions are organized by ELTE University Library and Archives (ULA) and Library of Faculty of Humanities (FOH) for the international lecturers, students, PhD candidates of the FOH. MTMT trainings are offered free of charge, but registration is required.
