On the occasion of Museum Night, we cordially invite everyone to a screening of Ferenc Rofusz’s short films, with the animator himself providing commentary.

The ELTE–NFI FILMIO University Film Club screening and discussion series continues. We welcome university members from all ELTE faculties.

The ELTE University Library and Archives places special emphasis on students’ mental health, which is why well-trained, friendly therapy dogs visit our library during exam season to help reduce stress and boost well-being.

The Hungarian Association of Higher Education Archives (MFLSZ) held its traditional annual conference from April 28 to 30, 2026, hosted by the ELTE ULA Savaria Library and Archives.

During the Night of Museums, visitors can build a library palace, assemble fragmented pieces of our codex pages with our library puzzles, and arrange pictures related to gastronomy, as well as the life and works of Mór Jókai.

On the occasion of the Night of Museums, on the 20th of June 2026 from 6.00 pm at the ELTE University Library and Archives in the Lobby (1053 Budapest, Ferenciek tere 6.), the ELTE „Eötvös” Art Ensemble will give a summer concert.

As part of the annual Carpathian Basin educational program, the Sustainability Theme Week and the Green Bridge Volunteer Expert Program, we welcomed groups of elementary and high school students to the green library presentations at the ELTE University Library and Archives between April 13 and 30, 2026.

On the occasion of the Night of Museums, we are waiting for young and old, children and adults alike with special surprises.

On the Night of Museums we open our restoration workshop to get an insight into the work of restorers. All visitors are welcome!

At the ELTE University Library and Archives (1053 Budapest, Ferenciek tere 6.) on 20 June 2026 between 15.00 and 22.30, Zsuzsanna Illés, artist and founder of the Fabula fire enamel atelier will hold a workshop as part of the Night of Museums programme. Visitors will be able to gain an insight into the art of fire enamelling.

Within the framework of the Night of Museums program series, calligrapher Dezső Buzogány will hold a workshop on the 20th of June 2026 between 15:00 and 24:00 in the hall of the ELTE University Library and Archives (1053 Budapest, Ferenciek tere 6.). Our guests are able to gain an insight into the art of calligraphy.

According to our tradition, we will join the Night of Museums on the 20th of June 2026. From 3 p.m. in the afternoon until midnight, our library welcomes all visitors with craft activities, fire enamelling and calligraphy workshops, animated film screenings, adventure tours, recipe collections, concerts, building tours, guided tours and restoration workshops. Tickets will be available at the entrance from the 1st of June 2026.

The ELTE–NFI FILMIO University Film Club screening and discussion series continues. We welcome university members from all ELTE faculties. In celebration of Mother’s Day and the upcoming Children’s Day, we warmly invite children and families to join us. (The film is recommended for ages 12 and up.)
