The ELTE Digital Institutional Repository (EDIT) serves as the official storage and archive for scientific and educational electronic documents produced at the University. By assigning persistent digital object identifiers, EDIT ensures permanent access and multi-faceted retrievability, thereby enhancing the visibility of these documents.
The designated staff member of the Education and Research Support Department of the University Library acts as the institutional administrator of EDIT, coordinating the activities of the faculty EDIT administrators and providing them with comprehensive professional support regarding the use of the institutional repository, including:
- assigning user permissions and creating new collections;
- coordinating document upload processes, as well as reviewing and approving items uploaded to the collections;
- supporting and professionally coordinating university repository content management;
- preparing and executing data conversions, and facilitating the bulk upload of data from various sources in a unified, standardized format;
- providing statistical data related to EDIT;
- delivering training sessions on the use of EDIT, including upload and administrative procedures.
