The Library will be closed between the 23rd of December 2024 and the 1st of January 2025. Our library's services will be available from the 2nd of January 2025.

Due to the relocation of our external warehouse the books and doctoral dissertations stored there, as well as the entire stock of the library's periodicals, will be unavailable until the beginning of January 2025. Many of our books are still available for loan and current literature can be found on the open shelves.

ELTE has been granted a 3-month trial access to the Books of Modern China (1840-1949) database on Shanghai Libray's CNBKSY (Quan Guo Bao Kan Suo Yin) platform. The database contains over 120,000 books, which can be searched and copied in full text.
The Chinese Periodical Full-text Database currently contains 25,000 periodicals published between 1911 and 1949 and 12 complete publication series.
Late Qing Dynasty Full-text Database is currently approx. It contains 600 periodicals from the Qing Dynasty.
Vanderbilt University Institutional Repository (VUIR) is a digital repository providing open access to scholarly research at Vanderbilt University. Faculty, students and staff at Vanderbilt may contribute materials. This service, provided by the library, supports the university in the preservation and dissemination of research.
