An ORCID has been required for validation in the STA database since 1st of april. It means that your STA profile has to include your ORCID, if you want to validate the profile.

The event has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic! One of the early versions of the Eötvös pendulum, the “Paris pendulum” made in 1898, was exhibited in the ELTE University Library and Archives in the interactive exhibition „Under the the spell of accuracy – The Life and Work of Loránd Eötvös”. After closing our library, when the street is quiet, it is worth watching the pendulum during operation. We look forward to seeing you at our guided tours! On the occasion of the Autumn Festival of Museums we are glad to invite you for our interactive guided tours with the title “Under the spell of accuracy – The Life and work of Loránd Eötvös”. The aim of our exhibition, which can be viewed at the ELTE University Library and Archives, is to explore the exciting world of physics in an experience-oriented way. The exhibition presents the versatile personality, scientific and teaching activities and instruments of Loránd Eötvös with the help of interactive tools. All visitors are welcome!

This year, the restoration workshop of the University Library and Archives of Eötvös Loránd University was partially renovated, the floor and walls of the workshop were reconstructed and equipped with some new furniture. Thus, the modern restorer's water table could also be placed in a renewed environment, thanks to the generous donation of President János Áder. The acquisition of additional special equipment was supported by the Municipality of Budapest-Lipótváros and the Foundation for the University Library.
